For the price you can't go wrong. I was very pleased with the router. I was up and running in about 15 minutes, taking my time to read instructions along the way. Having a N router is a must these days. I was concerned that it has been on the market for a few years now - but it meets all my expectations and more.
Good product and good value. Setup software was easy and tech support is available.
The router did its job but it turned out too expensive with the excessive shipping charges I had to pay. The ad stated it was less than $10.00 for shipping and i had to pay over $22.00.I contacted seller but to no avail,not a customer oriented seller.
This was purchased to replace a Netgear WGT624 Super G router. The Dlink was actually easier to setup. Which started acting up about a year after purchase. Randomly stop brodcasting and required frequent reboots. Later I purchased a Dlink DWA642 Rangebooster N Notebook adapter for my laptop. Which is giving my stronger signal and 130 MBPS transfer rate.
And it wasn't just a fluke. I was lucky enough to get a wonderful HP rep who was willing to help me out. I had a lot of trouble connecting this device and getting it working. I tried calling them several times (because the set up got really screwed up and I had to restore my laptop of 2 years to original factory condition) and I got the same treatment from every rep I talked to. Once I got it connected, it has been working fairly well but during the set up process I contacted dLink for help and I got none. They were rude and totally impatient. I finally gave up on getting any assistance from them. Customer service may not be important to everyone but I consider it very important and dLink gets about 0 stars from me on that side.
